- Test and test key posted
- Glass: posted on Facebook. Ancient Egyptian glass. Glass is like a liquid in a way.
Temperature is a measure of average kinetic energy. "Kinetic" = "movement"
- In solid, particles just vibrating in place, holding tightly to their neighbors.
- In liquid, particles moving around, but not entirely free. Holding on to fewer
neighbors, but still keeping in touch with them.
- In gas, particles entirely free, bouncing off other particles when they happen
to encounter them.
Changing phase doesn't change the particles themselves, just their degree of
attraction to each other.
Melting, boiling: heat curve, cohesion.
